JAKARTA - Eleven persons with disabilities which assisted by Sasana Bina Daksha, Pondok Bambu, Jakarta follow National Paralimpic Games (Perpanas) XV in Bandung, West Java, which was held October 15 to 24 last. Among of them had won gold and bronze medals.
"We just encourage them to keep the spirit. Because we believe they excel and be able to get a medal. So do not give up," said Anna Nufika, Head of Sasana Bina Daksha, Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta, recently.
In Perpanas 2016, eleven persons with disabilities race in bowling, badminton, tennis, archery, and athletics.
In the bowling competitions, Rubini got a gold medal. Catue and Priyo got bronze. In badminton Yuda and Evi got bronze. While in tennis, Narti got gold and bronze. Eli got the bronze.
"The spirit is not easily give up and their enthusiasm can infect other friends as well. Moreover, they managed to bring medals. Hopefully there again later after their successors," said Anna.
In addition, he hoped that the Jakarta Department of Sports and Youth of could give more in providing facilitation for disabilities both facilities and infrastructure.
