IABB Try to Bridging Regional Head with Baznas

BOGOR - Formation of the Association of Baznas Scholarship Alumni (IABB) comprising the awardees of the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) are expected to have contributed to the concrete and a capable of driving the rise and public awareness of the charity.
"When it comes to the role, we are already present in some areas as a catalyst and facilitator. I will take an example, we've entered in Bedugul, Bali and Alor, NTT to provide aid for Muslims there," said Furqon, Chairman of IABB in Bogor on Thursday (24/8).
This is what other IABB members will develop throughout the region. IABB members are currently existing who contribute directly in the field of education through the construction of Islamic schools in Enrekang, South Sulawesi.
Furqon added, there are still many regional head that have not been welcome with Baznas presence in their respective regions, which impact Furqon added, there are still many heads of regions who have not been welcome with the existence of Baznas in their respective areas, which impact on the low acceptance of zakat through Baznas in region.
"This is one of the tasks of IABB alumni to try bridging regional head with Baznas," he said.
Director Coordination, Distribution, Reform, Renbang and Training Baznas, M Nasir Tajang added, IABB is initiated and filled alumni grantee Baznas who have completed the academic process at several universities in Indonesia such as the Bogor Institute of Agriculture, Institute of Technology Bandung, Surabaya Institute of Technology , Al Quran Science College, Gajah Mada University, University of Indonesia, Ibnu Khaldun University and Jakarta Islamic University.
In addition, there is also of the Islamic University of Malang, Islamic University in Yogyakarta, Airlangga University, Bandung Islamic University, Azzahra University , Padjadjaran University, UNU Surakarta and the Universitas Terbuka (UT).
Nasir said the alumni of the scholarship recipients come from program Baznas One Family One Degree (SKSS) and Regeneration Thousand Ulema (KSU). Total alumni of Baznas scholarship participants who initiated the IABB as many as 73 people with details of 39 people came from the SKSS program and 34 people came from the KSU program.
