JAKARTA - Apparently, 3,400 hectares of land owned by the Ministry of Defense and Indonesian military is still problematic. Only 30 percent of that land has a certificate.

In fact, there is still the land of the
Distik Military Command (Kodim) in some areas that have been 30 years yet have a certificate and being contested by heirs who claim ownership. Not to mention, the lands where military exercises are also well so coveted by land mafia.

"Which problematic or not yet certified about 70 percent, and were certified only 30 percent. In past, no one people
brave claimed Armed Forces land, but now coveted by land mafia," said Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Sofyan Djalil in of the Ministry of Defense office, Friday (31/3).

Sofyan explained, the military assets spread across regions in the country was not yet certified, so it can not be used. Sofyan still trying to help Ministry of Defense restore the asset.

Minister of Defense Ryamizard Ryacudu agrees Sofyan statement. He called the Ministry of Defense and the military needs on the land, particularly urgent for the exercise of soldiers.

"It's useless if the primary appliance and fulfilled a defense system
complete but can not exercise. Or has modern weaponry but practice in another country. Must find the land, for what have bought guns but can not exercise," said Ryamizard.

He stated, if the TNI require more land for the exercise. West Kalimantan calls fit into the new land for military exercises. The forest area there can be used to practice the guerrilla. The land which flat is also suitable for long distance shootig practice. While the sea could be to train the Navy to be more skilled deepen their expertise.
