LOS ANGELES - Perform at Los Angeles Fashion Week 2017 event which held at Alexandria Ballroom, Los Angeles, US on 4-10 October 2017, artist who is also model, Cheverly Amalia coupled with Indonesian fashion stylist who live in the US, Dela Dewi.
In this event, they both also received trust from Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Los Angeles.
"We are invited to dinner at residence of Consul General of Indonesia in Los Angeles, Simon Soekarno. He hopes with the cooperation of the Consul General and LA Fashion Week will introduce the works of the Indonesian to the wider community in US," said Dela Dewi on Monday (9/10).
Dela Dewi said, Indonesia is the country that presents most fashion designers at this LA Fashion Week event.
"And this is second year cooperation between Consulate General and LA Fashion Week," said Dela Dewi.
Not only to introduce Indonesia fashion to foreign countries, Dela Dewi and Cheverly Amalia also given task to promote another Indonesia local tourism.
"There will also exhibitions and seminars for Ikat Indonesia cloth and introducing Indonesian tea production. We have been present in their afternoon tea, tea from Indonesia tastes good. I think it's Indonesian tea better than overseas tea," said Dela.
Through this event, Consulate General also tried to promote Indonesia cultural diversity from other regions.
"Because at this time people in US know Indonesia only just Bali island," she concluded.
