JAKARTA - The allegation of corruption in the purchase of Agusta Westland (AW) 101 helicopters is still not completed. The purchase of helicopters is considered to be in accordance with procedural, but strong marking occurs. President Jokowi asked immediately to intervene.
As is known, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has set the boss of PT Diratama Jaya Mandiri, Irfan Kurnia Saleh as a suspect. The process of appointing PT Diratama Jaya Mandiri as the project vendor was allegedly against the law.

At the same venue, defense and military observers, Connie Rahakundini Bakrie sees a meeting between all parties involved in the purchase of this helicopter.
"The Defense Minister should call the TNI Commander and KSAU, if necessary the President should calls," he said.
She said the purchase case of AW-101 will bring many problems. Primarily related to the government program of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) himself.
"The president's report is dated February 16, 2017, in which I tell the truth to achieve the world maritime state there are two important things how to build the posture of its strength and its projection and how the defense industry issues, therefore that should be driven by the president for the realization of the independence of the defense industry," Connie said.
