JAKARTA - Currently, livestock in Indonesia is dominated by people business, not big farm industry. But in the other hand, the Indonesian people face the problem of low production capacity compared to the consumption needs of society due to conventional livestock methods.
Although become backbone of Indonesian farms, but the fate of traditional farmers in this country still not good. The breeders are under-capitalized so they can not afford to buy good quality broodsters, find it difficult to obtain quality feed and have trouble preventing and overcoming disease outbreaks.
And finally the breeders in the villages mostly also never tasted the delicious meat of raising cattle. They just become shepherds without ever getting protein intake.
On this basis the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) invites the community to carry out the 'Kurban Berdayakan Desa', a sacrifice that is worthy of worship but benefits the ranchers in the village by buying, slaughtering and distributing the sacrificial meat in the village.
"People in Jakarta, we recommend to sacrifice in the region. So that it can increase the income for rural communities, improve the lives of people and resources and improve the nutrition and economy of the beneficiaries in the village," said Director of Colection, Coordination and Information Baznas, Arifin Purwakananta on the sidelines of sympathetic action in Soedirman-Thamrin car free day area, Jakarta, Sunday (20/8).
And in order to facilitate the community to perform the sacrificial worship service, Baznas also launched the digital application. The digital app is a groundbreaking innovative service that can be easily downloaded via playstore on all mobile phones using Android technology.
"Through the digital application, Baznas innovates to serve the community so it is easy to pay zakat, infaq and alms, and perform sacrificial worship services," Chairman of Baznas, Bambang Sudibyo said at the launch of the 'Kurban Berdayakan Desa' digital application in Jakarta on Monday (21/8) .

According to him, at important moments such as the Eid al-Adha, Baznas wants people to be easier in performing sacrificial sacrifice services through various innovation services provided, such as digital applications.
This application also conveys information related to the this program, as well as the qurban will get a report of the slaughtering activities that have been done from the villages in Indonesia.
