JAKARTA - Major obstacles in world of Indonesia cinema is no longer always related quality. Already many Indonesian films can penetrate the world's prestigious festivals and get various awards. Precisely, which still perceived as a constraint is the limited funds and the amount of human resources (SDM) in homeland cinema.

This fact is confirmed by Indonesian senior actor, Tino Saroengallo. He mentioned, Indonesian film has been able to compete with foreign films.

"We are not less creative than Hollywood or other countries, as well as in terms of human resources. Many films can get to international festivals and sell well in overseas. Unfortunately, we still lose the amount of human resources and funds. It is much different from Hollywood where the film has become a big industry for them," said Tino when speaking in Film Dialog held by Center for Film Development and
Entertainment Journalist Forum (Forwan) Indonesia in Jakarta, recently.

Tino rate, the ability of Indonesia to compete with foreign films in the real world through the themes of local wisdom that raised into movie themes. Film 'Ziarah' and 'Turah' for example, this two film loaded with local wisdom is able to penetrate the Asian film festival.

Another film is 'Marlina: The Murderer in Four Acts' by Mouly Surya even played at the Cannes Film Festival 2017. The film who starring Marsha Timothy is lifting a culture of violence in West Sumba.

"Let alone the people outside country, our community may not know that violence culture
with knife as a weapon that is brought daily still apply in West Sumba," said Tino.

In same place, Head of Film Development Center of Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Maman Wijaya said if local wisdom which displayed in Indonesian films become powerful weapon for 'fight' swift rush of foreign films.

"The best weapon is attacking. With local wisdom themes, national films fight against and fortify this nation from the influence of foreign cultures that enter through these foreign films, while making national films became host in own country," he said.
