JAKARTA - Some musicians who often go back and forth on homeland rock music scene build a new rock music group called 'Death Distortion'.
Old faces adorned this band's core forces. Call it Trison Manurung (lead vocals Roxx & ex Edane), Wawan Cher (ex Blue Guana guitarist, Wolfgangs & No Limits), Ega Liong (Blackout band guitarist), Didiek Orange (ex Roxx and One Feel basist). Only one new name in this band named Rian Dani, a 15 years old talented drummer from Papua. They trying to present a new taste in rock music.
The album titled 'Reincarnation' which contains 10 rock songs has been launched by 'Death Distortion' a year ago. By displaying formation of two guitars, this rock band is trying to develop a more modern metal music or familiar called Modern Metal in this album.
According to Trison, the choice of guitarist, duo Wawan and Ega became very fitting in this band because of the wide and thick sound required in metal music.
"This can be heard in the song 'Death Distortion', 'Reinkarnasi' or 'Ambisius' which the color of modern rock Metallica looks like.The most interesting and at the same time a kind of personification of 'Death Distortion' is presence of Rian Dani in drum position. Rian as a tempo regulator feels special. Strengthened by Didiek Orange bass, he able to burrow into one with his seniors," said vocalist, Trison Manurung in Jakarta, recently.
He added, 'Death Distortion' is preparing to introduce the single 'Terbang Bersama Garuda'. The song that tells about the beautiful fraternity and friendship between the tribes of this nation, it's music played many acoustic guitar, with percussion tifa from Papua.
"The song that is being prepared by this video clip, its launch in the midst of a frenzied political atmosphere is expected to be a medication for holding hands in peace, a message that differences are not an obstacle to staying together, let alone scattered," said Trison.
With this single, 'Death Distortion' also hopes to make a positive contribution to the nation, and the Indonesia music industry.
