JAKARTA - A location based social discovery platform, Yogrt soft-launched ‘Live Content’. This platform is new feature that allows pre-selected young Indonesian talents to broadcast live streaming content to enable richer entertainment and user interaction.

A strict vetting process on all aspect of the live streams, from talent to content, is currently being applied to ensure content quality, appropriateness, and safety.

Jason Lim, co-founder of Yogrt explain in Jakarta, Thursday (6/4).

Jason added, social media users nowadays know what they want out of platforms in real time. These comprise of ease of navigation, user friendly interface, and interesting content. Through the ‘talent-focused’ Live Content system, Yogrt offers more fun and safer content which improves the whole user’s experience.

This year, Yogrt’s Live Content feature plans to empower 10,000 young Indonesians to independently showcase their talents to wide public audience on the platform.

Yogrt intends to collaborate with potential partners and universities through talent search road show in several cities across Indonesia. The categories in the Live Content will include singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, fashion/make up, event reporting, sports, travel, and others.

In Indonesia,Yogrt plan to grab the exponential market of 18-30 years old in regional cities across Indonesia. Currently, there are more than 80 cities where Yogrt is widely used, stretches from Banda Aceh to Jayapura.

Yogrt also breaks the conventional social media system that creates elitism with our location based social discovery networking nature. It offers all users equal opportunity to connect, be heard, and reach audiences without having to add people or get followers.

"Consequently, users will be able to share and get relevant information beyond their current social circle, expand their knowledge, and exposed to many opportunities. This is why we have secured more than 5 million users and we aim to reach the 20 million users mark by 2018,” Jason said.
