MELAKA - Unexpectedly, striker who is currently strengthen Malaysia club, Melaka United (MU) still waiting faithfully for his citizenship status became an Indonesian citizen (WNI).
Ilija Spasojevic, player who have nicknamed 'Spasogoal' previously had five years living in Indonesia in 2011-2016 and strengthen some clubs like Persib Bandung and Mitra Surabaya.

Spasojevic who is now 29 years old has a wife of a Indonesian citizen. His second daughter, Irina Spasojevic who was born in February, already pocketing an Indonesian passport. And he hopes can become same like his daughter, become Indonesian citizen.
"Irina can be have Indonesian passport, when I'm at it?" Spasojevic wrote in his Twitter account.
If measured by the duration of stay in Indonesia, Spasojevic itself already meets the classification to apply become Indonesian citizen. Now, he was watching where when he officially became a citizen so he can strengthen the Indonesian national team.
"I really hope to strengthen the Indonesian national team. I love Indonesia," he said.
Though he did not take part in Indonesia football, Spasojevic continued to show his sharpen. In Malaysia, he has scored 28 goals in 30 matches.
