JAKARTA - Toward 313 Demostration Action, suddenly Secretary General of Muslim Forum (FUI), KH Muhammad Al-Khaththath arrested by police and brought to Brimob Headquaters, Kelapa Dua, Depok. Al Khaththath along with four activists were arrested by police today set as suspects in the alleged of treason.
Head of Public Relations Jakarta Police, Commissioner Pol Raden Argo Yuwono Prabowo explained, arrests of five activists only deals with cases of alleged treason. However, not same with previous cases of treason.
"Nothing to do with the case of Sri Bintang Pamungkas cs treason. But it is a matter of agreement treason," Argo told on Friday (31/3).
According to Argo, just happened to be holding of the arrests were made when the 313 demonstration action at State Palace and the Istiqlal mosque. Argo continued, police found evidence of a meetings at locations where they do some people where it was about to topple the current government.
"There was a meeting that it topple and depose the legitimate government. It was exposed in Articles 107 and 110 of the Criminal Code, a formal offense has been hit," he said.
Argo added, currently fifth activists were still in Mako Brimob Kelapa Dua, Depok to be examined further.
"All five have been accused of all. Today's only 1x24 hours of the arrest, later upon further inspection, we see whether detained or not," he said.
Related to this, Chairman of Indonesian Police Watch Presidium, Neta S Pane assess, arrests which made by Jakarta police to FUI Secretary General and four other people is a form of police arrogance.
"Moreover, the reason for the arrest was referred to the police that those arrested will take treason action," said Neta to SINDOnews, Friday (31/3).
It urged the police need to be explained in a transparent the plots action will do by that fifth person.
"For some time ago Jakarta Police also have arrested a number of prominent nationalist groups. Now the police arrested again a number of Islamic leaders with treason caused," he continued.
If follow mindset of Police, continued Neta, means that there are two groups who want to treason, the nationalist groups and religious groups.
"But strangely why TNI calm. Why BIN does not signal that the country is already grave with nationalist and religious groups which want to treason," he explained.
Oddly enough, said Neta, until now the nationalist leaders who had been arrested for treason does unclear case.
"Even his BAP tend to be swallowed by the earth because it was never handed over to the prosecutor," he said.
