Hinder TPPU Demo, Police Alignments Questioned

JAKARTA - Had hindered by officials when demo in front of National Police Headquarters on Tuesday (14/3), Board Center Union of Indonesian Muslim Student Action (PP KAMMI) condemned the crackdown against Regional Board (PW) KAMMI Jakarta cadres when demo.
"KAMMI Centre questioned the attitude of the police who tend to be rough and tried to obstruct the action taken to KAMMI Jakarta. Though the action or protest is an act that protected the law," said the Secretary General PP KAMMI, Irfan Ahmad in Jakarta, Friday (17/3).

Irfan added, police unfairly in dealing with the action of the students.
"The police need to be consistent in addressing the issues that exist, not to cover up issues related to the police officers, so the demo was dissolved our friends," said Irfan.
Furthermore, Irfan support police to resolve cases of alleged money laundering (TPPU) by officials Jakarta Police (Polda Metro Jaya).
"Cases of alleged money laundring by high-ranking officials Jakarta Police should immediately investigate by the National Police, because it involves police officers who are under their authority," added irfan.
PP KAMMI will support the steps taken by KAMMI Jakarta are trying to bring the government environment and law enforcement officials who are clean in Jakarta.
"The efforts made by friends PW KAMMI Jakarta are appropriate, and should be supported. As an organ of extra-task students, we are participating in supervising the policies and actions of the officials in Jakarta to comply with applicable law. If there is any deviation, then it should be encouraged to be dealt with according to law," said Irfan.
As known, plan of Regional Board (PW) Union of Indonesian Muslim Student Action (KAMMI) Jakarta held a demonstration in front of the National Police Headquarters on Tuesday (14/3) was granted by police.
Mass of KAMMI Jakarta asked to leave the demo area. Kebayoran Baru police chief, Adjunt Senior Commissioner Teguh Wibowo called this demonstration not have permission.
Finally, the crowd was dispersed by a long march towards Al Azhar mosque with direct escort of the police chief and officials.
