DENPASAR - Regional Police (Polda) Bali set a spokesman for Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Munarman as a suspect.
"Munarman we espouse as a suspect," said Bali police chief, Inspector General Petrus Reinhard Golose in Bali, Tuesday (7/2).
According to Petrus, after a suspect, Munarman will be re-called for investigation.
"On 10 (February 2017) we call. About how it will work, it's none of our business on the part of the investigating team," said Peter.
Munarman reported by groups that use them Bali Element of Society on 16 January. He reportedly related to cases of alleged harassment and slander against pecalang.
Bali Element of Society make report based on Munarman video which circulating on YouTube with the title "FPI Come and Scolds Kompas Related News Framing of anti-syariat Islam". It happened when he and several members of these organizations came to Kompas office on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
In the recording on one hour 24 minutes which uploaded by Markaz Islamic on June 17, 2016, Munarman call pecalang pelted homes and banning moslem Friday prayers at minute 15:15 until 15:16.
"Kompas never criticized pecalang in Bali were sometimes pelted houses, prohibiting the Friday prayers, never a criticism from Kompas, the years that we have seen," said Munarman in the video.
Meanwhile, Munarman lawyer, Ida Bagus Mahyura, dismiss if his client called defamatory pecalang as reported components of the Balinese people.
"What is the basis for reporting has been clarified by Munarman, that he had no intention to attack any institution, in this case pecalang," said Mahyura, Monday (30/1).
