Ridwan-Deddy Competing Tops Electability Survey for West Java Governor

BANDUNG - Echoes of local elections (Pilkda), West Java had begun. Bandung Mayor, Ridwan Kamil and West Java Vice Governor, Deddy Mizwar is the most popular candidate for the post of West Java Governor.
That result has shown by survey conducted the Indonesia Strategic Institute (Instrat). Survey showed Ridwan Kamil (with 58.9 percent electability) was ahead of Deddy Mizwar (53.8 percent) and Purwakarta Regent, Dedi Mulyadi (33.46 percent).
Instrat Executive Director, Jalu Pradhono Priambodo said, the survey was conducted on Nov. 24-28 last year with 1,600 respondents from 253 cities, regencies and districts being administered a questionnaire during a direct interview. The margin of error was 2.49 percentage points.
Jalu also said that undecided voters were at 33.2 percent.
“There is still a chance (for all parties to win the election)," he said.
According to him, Ridwan Kamil known as highly experienced and achievement character. Deddy Mizwar known as honest trustworthy, clean, religious and thoughtful character. While Dedi Mulyadi's character known as a highly populist.
Besides the three names, respondents also mentioned Desy Ratnasari Rieke Diah Pitaloka, Dede Yusuf; Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo; West Java Governor’s wife Netty Heryawan, Bogor Mayor Bima Arya and Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini as candidates.
