Rijsttafest, Build The Future Through History and Culinary Festival Themed

JAKARTA - History-themed festival series, Rijsttafest held in major cities in Indonesia. This activity tried to arouse the attention of the younger generation in the history of his own nation. Especially about the history of Indonesia and the Netherlands that are well aligned.
In the first series, Rijsttafest held in Semarang with Post Road theme, the initial period of transportation lines built by the Dutch. Rijsttafest circuit is also supported by the local community such as community history (Lopen, OASIS, KPS), a community bicycle, Sketchwalk community, IRPS, Carnival Night, Hope Community, and Puppet Benges.
The local community is present to enliven the events include a discussion of the results of the research entitled Collective Memory, History, and Perceptions of Relationships Indinesia and the Netherlands: Toward Reconciliation History Past and Building the Future.
Related to this activity, after conducting a survey of young people in Indonesia, several institutions namely the Centre For Indonesia Risk Studies (CIRiS), THE Syndicate, and Syarikat Indonesia designing forms of activity that may attract the attention of the younger generation in a way that is easily accepted.
"The results of this survey are very interesting in many facets that are important. Perception of the younger generation led to how they view the history by the way, how the culture from outside influences thought and action, to how they animate nationalism," said Director CIRiS (Jakarta) Erwin Endaryanta in Jakarta, Monday (21/11).
While Ari Nurcahyo, Executive Director of PARA Syndicate (Jakarta) explains how the phenomenon of this day regarding the attitude of the young group of nationalism translates into action.
"Looking at the results of the survey, is unique. We think the survey results is important to be known and discussed by all parties, public and government," he said.
