BORDEAUX - Quarter final match tonight will be very hard for both teams. Italy and Germany both have to prove who deserves to be in the semifinals of Euro 2016. And whoever comes out on top becomes the favourite to win Euro 2016.

The two countries will do battle in Bordeaux in what many have highlighted as the marquee matchup of the quarter final stage.

Germany and Italy have combined to concede one goal so far, and their impressive play so far in France is why Low believes an eventual champion could come from the contest.

"Whoever wins can come out on top (at Euro 2016). Teams like Germany, France and Italy are still in the mix," Germany coach, Joachim Loew told.

"There is still a long way to go, but whoever wins tomorrow could win Euro 2016," he added.

Germany have never beaten Italy at a World Cup or European Championship, but Low made it clear victory is the only thing that is on his mind.

"The players are focused and it only increases on the eve of the match. We know that each match could be our last, and we can feel the tension. Every detail becomes important and we know what awaits us tomorrow. Now it's up to the players as we've already done a lot of work," he said again.

As his side prepare to face world champions Germany, Italy's coach Antonio Conte has called on his side to put the horrors of their March defeat behind them.

Four months ago, Azzurri faced Germany and were humbled 4-1, handing Conte his biggest defeat in charge of his country and he is desperate to find out what the gulf in class is like between the teams now.

However, he acknowledged how difficult it would be for his side against a German outfit who he hailed as being the most complete side in the world.

This team are better than Spain because they are the world champions and have everything a strong team needs.

"We are coming up against another strong opponent. They are technical, talented, physical and organised. I think they are the most complete team in the world, both as individuals and as a unit but we have studied them closely and carefully," Conte said.

"We know that we have to be good, limit our opponents and then hurt them. We know the difficulties and we're ready to face them. We want to and we believe that we can overcome obstacles that seem insurmountable. We faced the world champions and were well beaten so that is a greater incentive. Let's see if the gap has increased or decreased," he added.

One of Conte's biggest concerns ahead of Saturday's clash is the fitness of Daniele De Rossi, so influential during the first half of the win over Spain and who looks likely to miss out.

"We are still being careful with De Rossi's condition. We won't push him too hard or rush him because these are games that you have to be 120 percent to play in, they are so physical but I have great confidence in the whole group," Conte confessed.
