SUKABUMI - Not disappointing, the young national team rafting Indonesia is able to occupy the top three in all the numbers in the category of head-to-head (H2H) in the event the Youth World Rafting Championship (YWRC) in 2015 on the river Citarik, Sukabumi, West Java, yesterday.

There are four classes or numbers that are contested in the H2H category, the U-19 boys and girls, as well as the U-23 boys and girls.

"We are targeting the overall champion. There are two numbers that are contested, namely slalom and down river," said the young national team Manager rafting Indonesia, Rahmat Wahyudi Saleh.

He said he was happy with the achievement of his team even though he is targeting more.

At number U-23 men's team won the Brazilian rafter with a record time in the final round of 1 minute 30.07 seconds beat the Russians with a record time of 1 minute 53.57 seconds.

U-23 men's team Indonesia ranks third after defeating Japan by a margin of 6.63 seconds. For a number of U-23 women's, Brazil again became champion after beating the Czech Republic in the final round.

Meanwhile, the team rafter United Kingdom became champion U-19 men's number after beating Russia with a gap of 4.26 seconds. The team captain Rafter U-19 England, Sam Daley, admits his team carry out a tight match and not easy when up against teams other rafter.

Indonesia ranks third in the men's U-19 after beating Slovakia with a gap of 9.12 seconds. Then, for a number of U-19 women's, Australia became the first winner after beating Russia with a gap of 3.51 seconds. The Indonesian team perched in third position after winning against Brazil with a gap of 8.86 seconds.

YWRC 2015 still leaves two categories, namely down river (racing along the 8-12 km) and slalom (racing past several poles, go with the flow or against the tide) which will be held today (2/11). Overall winner for the world championship this time itself will be determined by cumulative points from all categories in each class.
